It's a bit unusual to think of Rosario Dawson as a great actress after seeing her in "The Adventures of Pluto Nash." Not to mention "Men in Black II" or "Josie and the Pussycats." But I guess what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, and for the beautiful Rosario, her long list of cinematic slip-ups is nothing more than an irritating hang-nail on her fast-paced career. Born in New York City in 1979 and raised just outside of Manhattan, Rosario had early aspirations to be a marine biologist until a strange encounter changed her life. At the age of 15, Rosario was literally pulled off the streets for the role of one of the sexaholic teenagers in the independent feature "KIDS." The controversial drama about adolescent teenagers dealing with the risks of AIDS became an underground hit and Rosario enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute to further her theatrical training.

The credibility she had received for her role in "KIDS" was more than enough to get started, and before long, Rosario had secured roles in the Spike Lee film "He Got Game" and the urban high-school drama "Light It Up" when she was cast as one of three starring females in the cartoon-to-film adaptation of "Josie and the Pussycats." The film was a total washout, but it introduced Rosario as one of the hottest upcoming stars in Hollywood, and within the next year, Rosario began work on becoming the most famous person you didn't know. The young actress quickly followed up three small productions with a proper mainstream introduction in the sci-fi flops "Men in Black II" and "The Adventures of Pluto Nash," but it was her work on independent films like "The 25th Hour" and "Shattered Glass" that gained her critical praise. Despite appearing in a truckload of films that have received nothing but bad publicity over the past five years, Rosario continues to get good grades from all of the people that matter. We know Rosario can act, and we've even see her bountiful breasts on screen, but will we ever see her truly recognized for her raw talent? If not, tell us now, and we think another nude scene would help ease the pain.
